Utilizing AI as a DJ

Do you use artificial intelligence? If you don’t, I’ve got some bad news for you: you might as well go cry into your nachos now because the future isn’t looking bright for those that don’t embrace this new technology. AI is all around us. From customer service chatbots to recommendations on streaming services, you probably use it in your everyday life without even realizing it. AI takes advantage of a gazillion different data points to develop deep learning insights about users. The resulting algorithms are constantly evolving as more information is collected. I’ve been working to actively implement AI more into my business for research purposes.
As a DJ, you constantly consume music and work endlessly to familiarize yourself with new songs. There are a bunch of online resources for DJs that recommend tunes. Spotify is one tool I like to use, but sometimes I think it takes my personal preferences into account too much. When I'm prepping for a gig, I need a completely unbiased third party that will look at the taste and popularity of music from the viewpoint of the general population. Cue ChaptGPT.
I love that I can ask AI questions and remind it to keep in mind the couple, their taste in music and their dislikes. While I strategically use AI for research now, I'm curious to see how it will evolve within the entertainment industry. Machine learning models are the way of the future. They are going to transform rapidly over the next few years and those that take the time to master them now will undoubtedly be ahead of the curve.
